Red, White & Blue Smoothie
There is no better way enjoy a celebration than with festive food. The 4th of July is the perfect holiday to get crafty with your meals and snacks. Next month, try this simple 3-step smoothie recipe for a nutritious treat that you and your family will love:
For each layer, you’ll need:
- Red: a handful of frozen strawberries, 1 banana and ½ cup coconut water
- White: 1 frozen banana, 1 fresh banana, 1 date, ½ cup coconut water and a dash of cinnamon
- Blue: a handful of frozen blueberries and 1 banana
Blend ingredients for each color individually, rinsing in between layers. Pour into a classy glass and garnish with all the berries you desire (the kids will love this part) and drink up. Cheers!
